Prototype is so awesome

Seriously.

I've heard people say the graphics aren't all that good.
And that the game is too easy.

True or not?

The graphics are fine for the most part. The far distance looks blocky and ugly, but you don't notice unless you stop to look, and I rarely have. Honestly it could be rendered with N64 graphics and it wouldn't take much away from the game.

And I'm not that far into it. Played for about 5 hours and done about 7 missions, because most of the time I'm just having immense fun pissing around in freeroam. Come close to dying though. There's a hard difficulty if you want it anyway.

So, you're not playing on hard?

Lemme know when you finished it. See if it's still as fun then to start over.

Graphics complaints are made by the many, MANY graphics whores out there, The game looks damn fine and anyone who says otherwise is HD's bitch.

As for the game being too easy, I disagree. I feel that the game is an enjoyable "happy medium", having interspersed challenging moments without being a frustration fest overall. Also, you need to beat the game before you unlock "Hard" difficulty.

Well, if you say it isn't, then alright.

I don't look down on people for playing it on easy...I just like a good challenge.
I've played a lot of games in the past that I finished so fast because the game was just a tad to easy to go through. There was no real challenge to it. Anyone could've done it...
Hence why I like difficulty levels in the game. I like playing games on hard.

The graphics are not 'really bad', not by any stretch of the imagination. There's a lot going on, they're detailed and it runs smoothly. When you get up high, if you look off into the distance (which would be several miles away in real terms) then yes, there's a muddying haze over distant objects, but the same thing happens in real life too. The graphics are fine, and I'm a huge graphics whore.

Prototype starts easily, but soon gets tough. It's not easy dodging half a dozen attack choppers and whole barracks full of marines, and while the MC is powerful, he's not invincible.

Prototype is a fantastic game, it's the best sandbox game ever made, and makes the likes of inFamous, GTA4 and even Crackdown feel like relics. (See[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.])

Cause I can't rent games anymore and I don't have a job yet cause I'm still a student so I don't have all the money in the world yet to buy whatever I want so I don't just buy games that look good. Only games I find worth the while. Also there's no demo in the PS store...sadly.

Yeah, I've watched a Gametrailers Review on it yesterday. For being such an open world and what you can do, the graphics looked pretty good.

Got a lot of people that have both inFamous and Prototype. When I ask them which is better, they can't decide. They all say get both.
Plus like you said earlier, play the game to find out. And you have only played the Demo of inFamous as far as I know, so how do you know that prototype makes the likes of inFamous feel like relics when it comes to that??

Unless the full game changed a huge amount from the demo, then inFamous feels hugely restrictive next to Prototype. The control system makes sure of that, and the inFamous isn't anything like as ambitious.

No, I didn't say prototype HAD bad graphics. I said I heard people say the graphics weren't all that good. And so, I asked if this were true.
I never stated that I knew the graphics were bad. I merely asked.

And I haven't played Prototype, so how can I compare it to other sandbox games if I haven't played it yet :s
