would you pay for a custom paint job on your PS3 + controller ? (or onther console)
I've seen some pretty neat things on the internet on how to paint your PS3 or companies offering to paint it for you, and I have to say, it does look very neat and I would pay for it if I really wanted. well, I'd probably do it myself though if I was to ever do it.
but you know me, I'm always looking for business opportunities that have to do with gaming and general repair and/or customisation is something I'd love to do, but I don't really know if there's a market for it. hence why I am asking you guys, would you pay to get a paint job for your PS3 or other console or to get it repaired at a regular service guy instead of going to Sony (if your out of warranty that is) ?
If I do plan on going on with this, I was also thinking of just selling new painted PS3's in standard colors, but since I have to paint it, I'm voiding warranty, so I'm not sure what to do with that...
examples of painted PS3's:

pricing depends on what you want done obviously, 1 color would be cheaper then 2 or more colors.
I'd say it'd be at least 75$/€/whatever for a full PS3 in 1 color. hence 375 if you want to buy a brand new standard colored PS3.
if more colors, price would also depend on what you want in another color. say you'd just want a white PS3, but the lettering in another color, it won't cost as much as if you want a PS3 with a white top and a blue bottom.
EDIT: i also might highten the price a bit, but then I'm offering a year of free service if a defect should occur. (as I'd be doing repairs as well)

pricing is the most obvious one 75 euros thats like two fairly new games or one old and one brand new
not sure what you mean by motivation

with motivation i meant your reasoning as to why you won't get it done...
and 75€ (or dollar if i were to live in the US) is pretty cheap really, there's a US company that's doing it for 150$ and that's only a basic one color PS3..

you'd have to find people who u[date there mobile phone every 5 seconds or get those face panels
at that price only that kinda person would want it
also if you did the basic cheaper you'd have higher turnover

Re: would you pay for a custom paint job on your PS3 + controller ? (or onther console)
yeah, i was thinking the basic might be a bit too high... but I was thinking of finding a wholesaler (where you can buy PS3's cheaper then at the store) then paint them, and then I can sell them for about the price of a regular PS3 (maybe just a bit more depending on the price I can get them at)
to be honest, i said 75 cause I thought it was an honest price compared to the 150... but i guess, if I do plan on doing it, I'd have to see how long it would take to do one PS3, and then price accordingly. enough to make me some money, but still at a fair price..
what do you think would be an honest price? for a one color PS3? or what are you willing to pay for it if you'd want it.

sounds like a good idea
I would guess closer to 50 euros for one colour
